I'M NOT FLAUNTING THIS. We earnestly pray for all battling any sickness. For any reason. Period.
THAT SAID. Over the past year we've had virtually zero lifestyle change. We've continued to host dozens at a time in our home. Through our six children we've been regularly exposed to thousands more. We've hosted many of their friends in numbers. We have not ceased attending Sunday mass, and periodically throughout the week. We've not ceased visiting family members. We've not ceased connecting with even elderly who welcome us into their homes.
THROUGH ALL THAT, none of us got covid (that we know of). My point is not to be dismissive of something meriting appropriate seriousness. Rather, to give testimony. Not unlike the biblical pearl of great price, or treasure in the field, or whatever talents given by the Lord... God vested in us months of life. Opportunities. Relationships. Growth. Discovery. Becoming.
FOR ALL THIS, HE GAVE US ONE ANOTHER. The very means of Trinitarian life. The only provision for our greatest poverty. Without which we will languish in ways that far surpass physical death.
KNOWING THE (EXTRAORDINARILY SMALL) RISKS, not different from getting behind a wheel, we chose faith over fear. We lived our lives. And as long as He allows, we will continue to live our lives. Because that is why He gave them.
