Here is my answer to the inevitable question many asked following my harrowing "death's doorstep" battle with CORONA (Corona & the Kingdom: Reflections Under Siege): "DON'T YOU WISH YOU HAD JUST TAKEN THE VACCINE?"
I DEEPLY LOVE AND AM GRATEFUL FOR YOU ALL HERE, regardless of your vax view. The fact that such regard for the good of the other person has become so politicized should be cause for all of us to pause. Not get sucked in. We are summoned to a deeper, "eyes wide open" place of understanding, love and concern for others; this requires much greater virtue than I've had in the past. Pray for me! Magnanimity. Patience. How easily souls are spun. God wants more.
THAT SAID, CHRISTIANS ARE NOT DUALISTS. We do not set matters of soul and faith in one corner and disregard applicability of the body. Our bodies are sacred. Which extends to politics. Economics. Social order. Health. The Kingdom plays out in this very human landscape! We need to learn to be so lovingly, respectfully, vigilantly engaged. (for a great example, I encourage reading Twain's "Joan of Arc"). Teach us, Oh Lord! While I still remain on oxygen, getting stronger every day, having navigated a "death's door" battle, good and sincere people ask: "DON'T YOU WISH YOU HAD JUST TAKEN THE VACCINE?"
STRONGLY, DIRECTLY, EMPHATICALLY, "NO!"
Before offering my reasons, know my standard: Availed to solid, peer-reviewed evidence. Meaningfully and substantly debated among experts. (For documented basis: Vaccine Truth & Decisions: Making Guinea Pigs of the Masses. Please simply invest 20 minutes in the first link!) Let me offer this strong point: Do not accept mainstream medical and medicine. Recognize how such "science" has moved like the wind. For those whom we love, we must be invested. Do our research. Ask questions [If only this alone: Why is the most durable and strong natural immunity completely negated in all calculations of policies and mandates?] Think. And, of course, be availed to where verifiable truth leads.
SO, MY REASONS:
1) There is no stronger or more durable response to the covid biological syndicate than natural immunity.
2) The COVID infection fatality rate (IFR) is of greatest concern among a very select group; for the vast majority of the population, of negligible concern.
3) Our concern is ultimately a matter of treating COVID well in time. With particularity to each "season" as it moves.
I was not treated well on time, largely because mainstream medicine is not set up to prevent and they suppress proven remedies.
My profile (54, no health issues, athletic, hadn't missed work in years) constituted a very rare negative response; compared to Steph who had 0 symptoms.
It's sickening the degree to which proven preventative and early-onset remedies HCQ, ivermectin, right vitamins in advance have been completely suppressed. In my journey I shared how amazing medical practitioners behind closed doors were so disheartened by the degree to which mainstream medicine has been contrived. The good ones are the reason you're reading these words.
4) The "vaccines" (in quotes because the CDC has changed the definition at least three times), while they've generally proven to ameliorate symptoms of a particular variant: (a) they are not effective against new, ever-morphing variants (more is coming!); (b) data suggests antibody-dependency enhancement (ADE), proliferation in highly vaccinated populations; (c) CDC's own VAERS raises significant concerns about short-term health use of vaxes, including death; (d) some of the most peer-reviewed research scientists on the planet raise significant concerns (Dr. Peter McCullough), and there's nobody who can speak of longitudinal data. We are guinea pigs.
5) There is a documented pharma-government juggernaut. Review the history. Motives. Gain of function. Fauci. Follow the cash. FDC. While in the hospital there was hardly accord among at least four or five doctors; a few were pushing experimental/emergency remedies without need. Please do your research on remdesivir (real concern).
6) With the greatest respect for the Pope and his cronies, I conscientiously share real concern raised by principled Catholic biomedical ethicists regarding any products directly resulting or benefiting from killing unborn babies.
REAL PEOPLE: THE HEART OF STATS
This is an update since I first posted this article. Given the mainstream medical, political, and media tide that is decidedly pro-vax (not disparaging, just stating facts), I never expected this article to be shared over 700 times, nor that it would receive nearly 500 comments at the original Facebook Gregorian Rant page (GO), the overwhelming majority of which are in agreement. Many share their personal, negative experiences with the vax; a number offer very good sources. For all seeking the true good of loved ones, minimally, this should be cause for pause.
WE CAN HAVE DIFFERENCES ON THESE THINGS! I pray we may be characterized by deep compassion, loving concern, kindness, attentiveness to the souls of one another. Most particularly, the underlying spiritually emotional realities where God is ... moving us in greater conformity with his Suffering Heart in Jesus Christ.
