The most pressing issue today is not civil unrest, or politics, or economics, or whatever movement. At the heart of it all we are facing a mandemic. Men not being men. Particularly men who profess Jesus Christ. That must be healed. In a manly way.
IF THE UNMANLY, SISSIFIED, FEEL-GOOD APPROACH had been as successful as so many church people proclaimed it would be... from the late 60's up till present day, we wouldn't be experiencing the epic spiritual, moral, familial, cultural, political devastation we are today.
MEN, STEP THE HELL UP AND START LEADING! Our selfish, lazy, half-hearted, indifferent, cowardly, excuse-making isn't moving the ball up the field. At what point do we open our eyes and recognize the other side is destroying us?
MEN, GET IN THE GAME! The virtue of fortitude shouldn't require the adjective "testicular" to know it applies to us! God appointed and anointed us. We are accountable. We will be held accountable. For our own souls. For our marriages and children. For this civilization.
MEN, when's the last time you committed to daily encounter time... beyond rote prayer? When's the last time you've led your family in a meaningful time of talking and praying? When's the last time you engaged them in a meaningful time of formation? When's the last season you made them aware of your earnest love, relationally connected with their souls, and journeyed with them into the greater excellence for which they were created?
When's the last time you took an unpopular stand for truth? When's the last time you prioritized a season of substantial faith growth over a sports season... or simply a season of nothing?
If God were now to call for an account of your time, your priorities, your resources, your efforts, what would these reveal? How have you "spent" what He's given you? How much closer to the Kingdom are you? Your family? Your world?
MEN, IF YOU DONT STEP UP AND FILL THE GAP the Enemy will. And has. And IS! What digital thrones are your children worshiping at? How about you? What's it doing for them? For you? Where's it leading you? Where is your heart of the Father for their souls? For their formation?
MEN, ON THIS SPIRITUAL BATTLEFIELD there is a 100% mortality rate. We will die! With everything at stake, with the Kingdom of heaven at hand... what lies have we accepted to keep us on the sidelines? What excuses are we making?
MEN, WE FOLLOW JESUS. And He spoke of hell innumerable times. To very devout people. Hell is real. People go there. He came to warn us. He paved the way to eternal life. With increased frequency, so many revelations are pointing to the urgency of this moment.
MEN, VERY SOON we will be confronted by the truth of our lives. We will see our souls the way God sees them. The horror of our sin. How we've deeply wounded the heart of God. How we've rejected Him. Not simply in things done, but in things we failed to do. Not simply for us, but those entrusted to us! There will be no hiding. No opportunity to change. What's it worth if we gain the whole world but lose our souls?
MEN, FEAR OF THE LORD is the beginning of wisdom. The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.
To get the hell out we need to step the hell up. We need to start living what we profess. I challenge you. On this battlefield, I want to be united with other men who are tired of playing games, who are seeking the Kingdom. Who are taking steps. Begin today. Receive grace being outpoured. Let's start taking territory.
